Victor Alonso-Berbel was born in Barcelona in 1993, and is a screenwriter and film director.

He holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), a Master in Film Production from the University of Southern California (USC), and is a professor of Dramaturgy and Screenwriting at Pompeu Fabra University. He is a member of the European Film Academy and the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

He began his documentary career during his undergraduate studies with the short film Fist & Steel (2014), winner of the New Filmmakers Award for Best Director at the Sitges International Film Festival, followed by the feature film The Brave Class (2016), which premiered at DocsBarcelona and was nominated for the Gaudí Award for Best Documentary from the Catalan Film Academy. Together with Borja Barrera and Marc Guanyabens, he founded Fractal, a social impact film production company.

In 2016, with a fellowship from the La Caixa Foundation, he moved to the United States to continue his studies at the University of Southern California and began his foray into fiction with the short film Perfectly Natural (2018), recognized by the Directors Guild of America with the Jury Award at the Student Film Awards, and watched by over 5 million people on Dust Channel. He worked in the development departments of La Panda, Endurance Media, and Lionsgate in Los Angeles.

Since returning to Spain in 2019, he has co-written fiction series with Jan Matheu for The Mediapro Studio, Atresmedia, Zeta Studios, Perdición Films, and Avalon, and has also co-written the upcoming feature films from filmmakers Pedro Collantes and Guillermo García López.

He is currently preparing his feature directorial debut in fiction with producers Belén Atienza and Sandra Hermida.
